“Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink—even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk—it’s all free!” Isaiah 55:1
Small towns, and local businesses that emanate the rare character of kindness, fun, and camaraderie remind me of a tiny bag of diamonds. They are genuine, beautiful, and rare. Such has been the case with Sedona Bike and Bean . The crew became a band of familiar faces to us. They would sometimes take us to long, technical trails, showing us places we would have totally missed without their lead. Because of their expertise, we experienced great adventure while riding in Sedona!
Landing at this bike shop at the beginning, or end of a ride, was the best! It was perfect to not only grab coffee or check out their in-store stock and always a great addition to our day. I was always thankful for Bike and Bean and how it has added flare and a touch of character to a great sport. It continues to live up to its reputation—don’t miss it when you visit Sedona.
I won’t trivialize what is done for me, because it is the seemingly insignificant acts that many times make all the difference. Every business has its ‘small beginning,’ and every relationship, though at times seems to begin with fireworks, has its first words. Lord God, help me not to minimize the work I put into my endeavors, or take for granted what people do for me.
Challenge 12: Today, find an area of your life that you have despised for its perceived insignificance. Change your mind—remember small beginnings are the foundation of great things.
Take time to journal, or talk about what you have perceived as “insignificant” in your life. Make a small change in your attitude and commit to it.
